The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors voted to approve the countys FY2026 IDOT Secondary Road Budget and the FY2026 IDOT Secondary Construction Program following a short public hearing on March 31, 2025.
At 9:01 a.m. the board opened a public hearing on the countys five-year roads construction plan and the proposed secondary roads budget and discussed the proposal with the County Engineer. No members of the public offered comments for or against the plan, and the board closed the hearing before taking final votes.
The motion to approve the FY2026 IDOT Secondary Road Budget was moved by Supervisor Loney and seconded by Supervisor Carpenter; the motion passed with all supervisors voting "aye." The subsequent motion to approve the FY2026 IDOT Secondary Construction Program was moved by Supervisor Loney and seconded by Supervisor Rasmussen and also carried unanimously. The minutes do not list dollar amounts or individual project line items in the record.
The boards action adopts the countys plan for secondary-road projects for the coming fiscal year and confirms the countys five-year construction priorities with the Iowa Department of Transportation.
