Clarkston council approves sewer change order, accepts audit and passes routine motions 7‑0

The City of the Village of Clarkston City Council voted unanimously on multiple routine items at its Oct. 28 meeting, including a change order on a sanitary sewer repair and acceptance of the audited fiscal-year 2023–24 financial report.
Council resolved to approve a $72,972.50 change order for additional work on the West Alley sanitary sewer, bringing the project total to $194,024.54. The resolution, moved by Councilmember Amanda Forte and supported by Mayor Pro Tem Laura Rodgers, passed 7-0. Minutes note that a proposal will be brought to a future meeting to recoup costs from each user of the city's sanitary sewer system.
Other procedural actions recorded in the minutes included approval of the meeting agenda (motion by Forte, seconded by Rodgers; vote 7-0), acceptance of the consent agenda (motion by Rodgers, seconded by Quisenberry; vote 7-0), and a motion to reschedule the Nov. 11 council meeting to Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7:00 p.m. (motion by Forte, seconded by Peg Roth; vote 7-0).
The council also resolved to accept and file the audited financial report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, as presented by City Auditor Rana Emmons of PSLZ LLP (motion by Forte, supported by Quisenberry; vote 7-0).
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. following a motion by Mayor Pro Tem Laura Rodgers, supported by Amanda Forte, which passed unanimously.
