The Trustees of the Trust Funds of Sanbornton, N.H., on March 26, 2026, updated signature authority on the town’s Franklin Savings Bank accounts and approved a $250 Fire Department scholarship payment.
Megan Farkas, chair, called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. at the Exit 20 branch of Franklin Savings Bank. Present were Shawna Sample-Garcia and Susan Stevens; the minutes record that Stevens was elected a trustee at the March 10 town election and that Lori Budington was thanked for her prior service.
At the bank, the trustees signed documents to update who is authorized to sign on all accounts held with Franklin Savings Bank. After completing those signatures, the trustees returned to the Town Office around 2:30 p.m., reviewed the trustees’ filing cabinet and discussed duties. The board did not formally appoint a new secretary; Farkas volunteered to take minutes for the meeting and Stevens offered to look into notetaking technologies.
The trustees reconvened at 3:00 p.m. and approved the February 23 minutes "as amended" after a motion by Megan Farkas and a second from Shawna Sample-Garcia; the minutes record the vote as a unanimous "aye."
Megan Farkas reported she has corresponded with Independence Financial Advisors about updating authorized account holders and that the trustees will invite Luca d'Italia to speak later in the spring about the invested charitable holdings.
On a motion by Susan Stevens, seconded by Shawna Sample-Garcia, the trustees accepted a requested $250 Fire Department scholarship disbursement submitted by Chief Dexter on March 6, 2026. The vote was recorded as unanimous "aye." Farkas signed check #207 to Ava Archambault; the check will be delivered to the Fire Station after the meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 3:30 p.m.; minutes were submitted by Chair Megan Farkas. The trustees plan to schedule the advisory meeting with Independence Financial Advisors and to arrange delivery of the scholarship check.
