Manasquan Board recognizes students, teachers and staff at Feb. 3 meeting

Students and staff from Manasquan High School and Manasquan Elementary School were honored with monthly awards, Teacher of the Year trophies and Thespian Festival recognitions at the board meeting.
At the Feb. 3 Manasquan Board of Education meeting administrators recognized several students and staff for academic, arts and service achievements.
Superintendent Goodall introduced High School Students of the Month — Alyssa Martucci (Freshman), Mikenna Barone (Sophomore), Gavin Carew (Junior) and Miles Kline (Senior) — and presented each with Certificates of Commendation, personalized medals and Wally Bucks. Goodall also announced the High School Teacher of the Month (Geniene Podos) and the Elementary Student and Teacher of the Month (Taylor Cassidy and Jestine Jones), with each recipient receiving certificates and awards.
Administrators presented the 2026 NJ Thespian Festival medallion winners and performers with trophies and certificates. Dr. Kukoda introduced Brian Lee as Manasquan High School Teacher of the Year and Mrs. Manetta introduced Jessica Woytowicz as Manasquan Elementary School Teacher of the Year; both received glass trophies and Certificates of Commendation. Educational Services Professional of the Year honors went to Kevin Hyland (High School) and Jill Wells (Elementary School).
The recognitions were presented during the meeting’s presentation portion; there were no public comments during the meeting’s public forums. The board’s business session then proceeded to routine administrative and financial matters.
