Wentworth council sets June 3 public hearing on proposed 2025-26 budget

The council noted that the proposed budget has been presented and is available for public inspection in the Town Clerk’s office. The motion, as recorded in the minutes, stated: "A public hearing to consider approval of the budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 will be set for June 3, 2025, at 7:00 pm." The hearing is scheduled to take place at Wentworth Town Hall.
The action was taken as part of routine new-business items after the council approved the meeting agenda and the minutes of the April 1, 2025 meeting earlier in the session. No public comments were received during the meeting; the clerk recorded that no one signed the speaker register.
Mayor Dennis Paschal Jr. also used the announcements section to remind attendees that the Wentworth Planning Board will meet May 20, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., that the next regular Town Council meeting is scheduled for June 3, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., and that Town Hall will be closed May 26, 2025, in observance of Memorial Day.
