Harrison County commissioners approve routine payments, insurance-funded roof repairs and multiple contracts

Lieutenant Foindexter briefed the court on an in-kind donation from Texas Eastern 911 worth approximately $29,937.60 that included 40mm less-lethal launchers and rounds, optics, stop-the-bleed kits, ballistic plates and body-camera equipment; the court accepted the donation 5-0. The court also accepted a separate $100 cash donation from Jimmy E. Smith for the sheriff's office.
Insurance claim PR20240186-1 was presented to replace damaged shingles and roofs across several county facilities after a recent hail event. The county's insurer (TAC) recommended 4T as project overseer and PMR as contractor. The contract, with a total replacement estimate of $376,898.27 and a county deductible of $25,000, was approved unanimously.
