Town records show a member of the Wentworth PTA Ball Program reported receiving a utility bill through the Rockingham Consolidated Schools office that was “a little over $2,000,” an expense the program had not budgeted. Mayor Paschal noted the town maintains an interlocal agreement with the school district and has previously provided funding to the PTA program.
Councilmember Daryl Crowder raised the request to the council on behalf of the program; the council approved the flat $2,000 assistance rather than seeking a line-item breakdown in the minutes. The minutes do not specify how or when the funds will be transferred to the PTA program.
The council proceeded to other items on the agenda; there were no public comments at the meeting.
