Mantua Township board swears in four members and elects Kroeger president, DiAntonio vice president

At its Jan. 2 reorganization meeting, the Mantua Township Board of Education swore in four newly elected trustees, elected Dr. Kroeger as board president and Stephanie DiAntonio as vice president, and recorded final vote tallies for each office.
The Mantua Township Board of Education on Jan. 2, 2025, at Centre City School swore in four newly elected trustees and chose its leadership for the year.
Board Secretary Michelle Jankauskas read the Nov. 5, 2024 election results and administered the State of New Jersey oath of office for the winners: Dr. Shawnequa Carvalho (unexpired one-year term), Stephanie DiAntonio (three-year term), Tyler Grant (three-year term) and Michele Leach (three-year term). Jankauskas led the Pledge of Allegiance to open the meeting.
At the reorganization meeting, William Wilkinson nominated Dr. Kroeger for board president. A roll-call vote recorded YES votes from Dr. Kroeger, Tyler Grant, Mr. Bruner, Stephanie DiAntonio, Mrs. Gregg, Michele Leach, Dr. Carvalho and William Wilkinson; Ms. Atkinson voted NO. The motion passed and Dr. Kroeger was elected Board President for 2025.
For vice president, Mrs. Gregg nominated Stephanie DiAntonio. The roll-call vote showed YES votes from Dr. Kroeger, Tyler Grant, Mr. Bruner, Stephanie DiAntonio, Mrs. Gregg, Dr. Carvalho and William Wilkinson; Ms. Atkinson and Michele Leach voted NO. The motion passed and Stephanie DiAntonio was elected Vice President.
The board opened a public comment period by motion and closed it after receiving no public remarks. An executive session was held later in the meeting; the public minutes do not disclose subjects or times for that session.
The meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m., and Michelle Jankauskas signed the meeting minutes.
