Mantua Township School District board approves routine finance, education and meeting-schedule items

At its Jan. 13 meeting the Mantua Township School District board approved routine Operations/Finance items, acknowledged the HIB/SSDS report and a settlement agreement, set its 2025–26 meeting schedule and recommended a March 29 retreat; public comment drew no speakers.
The Mantua Township School District board met at Centre City School on Jan. 13, 2025, and approved a series of routine finance, education and scheduling items.
Board President Dr. Kroeger called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance. On a motion by Mrs. Gregg, seconded by Mr. Wilkinson, the board approved the regular and executive session minutes of Dec. 9, 2024 and Jan. 2, 2025; the motion was recorded as unanimously approved.
Under Operations and Finance, the board approved the bill list, November 2024 line-item transfers, the Board Secretary and Board of Education certifications for November 2024, reimbursement for approved workshops/professional days, and December security drills. Mr. Bruner moved, and Ms. Leach seconded, approval of items 1–8 under Operations/Finance; that motion was unanimously approved.
Superintendent Mrs. Trampe thanked the board for School Board Appreciation Month and, together with Dr. Kroeger, presented Star Students for December and January.
During the Education Committee report the board reviewed the superintendent’s report and calendar dates. The board approved the monthly Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying (HIB) report and acknowledged the Student Safety Data System (SSDS) report covering Sept. 1–Dec. 31, 2024. The board also approved a referenced settlement agreement. Mrs. DiAntonio moved and Mr. Wilkinson seconded approval of the Education Committee items 1–4; that motion was unanimously approved.
The board approved a recommended 2025–26 meeting schedule (Aug. 18; Sept. 8; Oct. 6; Nov. 10; Dec. 8; Jan. 6, 2026 [reorganization]; Jan. 12; Feb. 9; Mar. 9; Apr. 13; May 11; June 22) and recommended holding a Board of Education retreat on March 29, 2025. The board also approved posting public notices in The Sentinel of Gloucester County for the remainder of the 2024–25 school year.
No members of the public spoke during the public comment period. The meeting adjourned at 7:48 p.m. on a motion by Mrs. DiAntonio, seconded by Mr. Wilkinson.
The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 10, 2025, per the superintendent’s report.
