On separate motions, the committee approved a budget amendment to accept two Wisconsin Emergency Management grants totaling $64,568 to purchase night-vision and robotic equipment for sheriff's tactical teams. The committee also approved using the district attorney's non-lapsing contingency fund to create a separate entrance to a victims' comfort room to avoid giving victims access to secured office areas; administration estimated the project could be completed for about $10,000.
