Park Ridge introduces $1.12M road bond ordinance and a $60K water pump ordinance on first reading

At its meeting, the Borough Council of Park Ridge introduced two ordinances on first reading and scheduled public hearings for June 9, 2026.
Ordinance 2026-020 is a bond ordinance to authorize the 2026 road, curb, drainage and sidewalk improvement program and to appropriate $1,120,000 for that program, financed by bonds and bond anticipation notes. Council approved the ordinance on first reading and the clerk announced a public hearing date of June 9, 2026. The presenters said the program includes coordinated work with utilities to schedule lead-service-line replacements concurrently with paving.
Ordinance 2026-021 is a capital ordinance appropriating $60,000 from the water utility capital fund for replacement of pumping equipment at Well No. 15. That ordinance also passed on first reading and will be published with notice of the June 9 public hearing.
Both ordinances passed their introductions by roll call; council members who recorded votes included Bruce Goldsmith, Michael Mintz, Council member Hoffman, Council member Fenwick, Council member Metztor and Council president Cozzi. The council clerk read the ordinance titles and summaries into the record.
