The Salisbury Board of Selectmen accepted the resignation of Transfer Station attendant Gary Davis at its April 1 meeting and said it will update the Transfer Station Manager job description before signing a new contract with Manager Josh Clark.
Chair Jim Hoyt moved to accept Gary Davis’s resignation "with regret"; Selectman David Kelly seconded the motion and it passed with no opposition.
Town Administrator April Rollins and Transfer Station Manager Josh Clark discussed staff training: Clark said he would attend Solid Waste Operator Training (SWOT) online on June 12, 2026, and Selectman David Kelly said he also planned to complete the course; Selectman David Hostetler expressed interest in attending as well. The board scheduled revisiting the job description at its April 15 meeting.
Selectman Hostetler also reported he has been investigating alternative payment methods at the Transfer Station to phase out cash. Resident Marcia Murphy asked whether there would be a fee for using a credit card; Hostetler said the idea was either to roll the fee into existing fees or for the Town to cover the cost. No formal decision was made; Hostetler said he would bring the topic back to the board.
