The South Zanesville Village Council elected Council Member Ed Harlan as council president during its Jan. 6 regular meeting. Council Member Mike Nunley nominated Harlan and Paul Lowe seconded; recorded votes in the transcript list Lowe, Harlan, Nunley and Bo Coconis as voting "yay," and the motion carried.
The council approved corrections to the Dec. 2, 2024 minutes after a motion by Paul Lowe, seconded by Bo Coconis; the transcript records the motion as carried. Lowe also moved to dispense with the Fiscal Officer’s bank reconciliation report for November and December 2024 while the village awaits the bank statement; that motion was seconded by Mike Nunley and recorded as carried.
Council moved through routine procedural business and closed the meeting after a motion to adjourn by Nunley, seconded by Coconis; the meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m. and the minutes were signed by Council President Ed Harlan and Clerk/Fiscal Officer Taylor Bennett.
