The Village of South Zanesville council unanimously approved Ordinance 2024-10 at a special meeting on Aug. 27, 2024, authorizing the issuance of $460,000 in notes in anticipation of general obligation bonds to pay part of the cost of acquiring a fire truck and all necessary appurtenances.
Council member Ed Harlan moved to suspend the three-reading requirement under Section 731.17 of the Ohio Revised Code and to declare Ordinance 2024-10 an emergency; Council member Bo Coconis seconded the suspension and the motion carried with Kim St. Clair, Ed Harlan, Mike Nunley, Bo Coconis and Greg Gibson voting "yea." Harlan then moved to adopt Ordinance 2024-10; the motion was seconded and approved unanimously.
