Jen Roberts reported she had been communicating with Primex and Travelers regarding an outstanding fuel‑spill claim; insurers were awaiting documentation. The board heard that Travelers will not cover damage to a power line at the Meetinghouse where the company says the damage was caused by the weight of the wire, and that some water damage from a leak under a bathroom is excluded under policy language. Roberts asked Primex and the Travelers contact to send policy excerpts showing the exclusions.
Mason provided a ballpark estimate of about $5,000 for a temporary heating fix expected to last a few years, while a full conversion to propane was estimated to cost between $40,000 and $50,000. Roberts said she favors the temporary fix and will look into grant options to contribute toward a longer‑term conversion; Amy Lewis suggested creating a capital account in the budget for the project. No formal decision to authorize either project was recorded; the discussion was framed as budget planning and follow‑up work for staff.
Separately, the board approved purchase of two office monitors at a total cost of $258.
