The City Council approved amendments to the City of Thorp employee handbook on Aug. 11 that adjust vacation, sick-leave provisions and stipends for employees who decline participation in the city’s health insurance plan.
Clerk/Treasurer Michele Pogodzinski presented the proposed changes. Alderperson Rosemeyer moved to approve the revised handbook and Alderperson Einhorn seconded; the motion carried 5–0. The changes are effective Jan. 1, 2026.
The council did not discuss specific dollar amounts or additional procedural steps during the meeting; the clerk/treasurer indicated the effective date and the topics (vacation, sick leave, stipends) during her presentation.
