Tomahawk council approves $348,008.84 in payments, routine permits and the 2026 library budget

Permits approved included the Tomahawk Lions Club "Thrilla on the Grilla" (Aug. 2, 2025) with an open‑intoxicants waiver limited to the event area from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the Steaks for Kids Kinship fundraiser (Aug. 15–16, 2025); the 2026 Main Street Fall Ride stage placement on Railway Street (with the condition that the stage be placed against the west‑side flower bed/right‑of‑way to leave an emergency travel lane); the WaWui, LT Beer and Bacon Bash (Oct. 4, 2025); Tomahawk Main Street Oktoberfest (Oct. 11, 2025); and Main Street Memories Christmas (Dec. 12, 2025).
Council also unanimously approved the 2026 proposed library budget after a motion by Mickey Loka and a second from Patricia Haskin. The minutes do not record the dollar amount of the approved library budget.
The Council set its next regular meeting for Aug. 5, 2025, and adjourned at 5:56 p.m.
