Platte River Commons pathway completed; board asks applicant to present signage waiver request in July

The board heard that a pathway and seeding at Platte River Commons are complete and usable for the Casper Marathon; WYDOT created a cutout onto the property that needs blocking. Rob Hurless reported that construction and seeding of the Platte River Commons pathway were completed in time for use by the Casper Marathon. Hurless said WYDOT installed a cutout providing vehicle access onto the property; the board agreed the cutout should be blocked to prevent vehicles from driving down the pedestrian path and directed staff to solicit bids to repair the remainder of the pathway.
Under Development Committee business, Hurless said an applicant has requested a signage waiver in SCHBC. The board recommended the applicant appear at the July meeting to explain the need for the waiver. Members also directed staff to begin work on updating the board's PUD documents.
Hurless noted there were no county items to report. He also said the board's minutes reflect that Dave Starcevich is scheduled to be on the City agenda for approval to the board on June 16. The board additionally noted that the original switch engine locomotive 'Standard Oil 1' is being moved to Fort Casper.
