Granton clerk schedules Class 2 public hearing for wastewater facility plan, presents administrative updates

Clerk Cole Minsaas told the board a Class 2 public hearing for the wastewater treatment plant facility plan will be needed on the Oct. agenda and presented administrative items including a new formal complaint form, a $500 donation for Christmas donations, apparel samples for board/staff, and a request for newsletter suggestions.
At the Sept. 4 special meeting, Clerk/Treasurer Cole Minsaas presented several administrative items and advised the board on upcoming procedural requirements for the village.
Minsaas said a public hearing for the wastewater treatment plant facility plan will be required as a Class 2 notice and should be scheduled for the October meeting. He also asked the board to review visual examples of apparel for board members and staff and requested suggestions for the next village newsletter. The clerk presented a new formal complaint form and said it will be included on future agendas.
Minsaas reported that the village received a $500 donation earmarked for the village Christmas donations. He also requested revisions and signatures for a new State Municipal Agreement and noted the WisDOT 'Miles of Public Highway Open and used for travel' report for Jan. 1, 2026, which he asked waterworks and wastewater staff to review.
Procedural business was completed without debate: the board approved the meeting agenda (motion by Village President John Garbisch, second by Trustee Bryan Vine), approved closed session minutes from Aug. 13 (motion by Trustee Troy Moen, second by Trustee Bryan Vine), approved Aug. 27 minutes (motion by Trustee Troy Moen, second by Trustee Bryan Vine) and adjourned at 7:56 p.m. (motion by Trustee Troy Moen, second by Trustee Bryan Vine).
