At the Jan. 8 Mansfield Public Library Trustees meeting, Treasurer Carter Sartell presented the December 2025 financial report and trustees approved several spending motions.
Sartell reported account balances as of Dec. 31, 2025: NHPDIP $17,263.83 and Citizen's $2,258.51. He noted a $1,949 payment for a recently delivered book drop and a $400 KMS Foundation grant to be spent on programming. The report also listed a remaining patron donation from Ron Pulos of $64.79.
Carter moved to accept a $100 donation from Robin and Alan Pickman for programming; Nicole Concordia seconded and the trustees approved the donation unanimously. Chair Gretchen Whitcomb moved, and Carter seconded, that trustees spend $1,000 on special programming in 2026; trustees approved the motion unanimously.
Under new business, Carter moved to approve up to $200 for the library's annual post-holiday staff luncheon; Gretchen Whitcomb seconded and trustees approved the expenditure unanimously. The minutes record earlier action approving amended sealed minutes from November 2025 (motion by Gretchen, seconded by Carter); the minutes were approved with Nicole Concordia recorded as abstaining, and the sealed minutes will be held in a locked file at the Mansfield Public Library.
The trustees also discussed Friends of the Library planning (Beth will request a meeting with Mike Deloria), the delivered book drop and installation tools to be provided by Ken Caisse, and recruiting for trustee and alternate openings.
