The Temple Conservation Commission agreed at its Jan. 14 meeting to continue work on a conservation-education flyer and to pursue trail connections.
Members said the flyer—led by Mike Madden—will promote conservation benefits for residents, introduce the Conservation Commission as a resource, and explain how residents can navigate conservation options; the commission plans to post the flyer on the website, hand it out at Harvest Festivals, and share it with new residents. Beth Preston will check what the 'ABCs of Temple' materials provide about the commission.
On trails, the commission noted Fisk Hill trail completion from East Road is awaiting action from Scott Hecker. Mike Madden said he will reach out to Bart Hunter to coordinate a connection to trails in the Heald Tract. The commission also discussed prior trail work and volunteer resources for building trails on the Skladaney parcel.
The meeting ended after a motion to adjourn passed; minutes were submitted by Cathy Joly.
