Temple The Temple Recreation Commission approved its December minutes and set several dates for 2026 community events at its Jan. 22 meeting.
Vivian Wills, who called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m., moved to approve the December minutes; Dan Cournoyer seconded the motion and all members voted in favor. Wills said she reserved the Town Hall for the specific dates the commission needs in 2026 and moved that the commission hold a Valentines Day Record Hop. Cournoyer seconded, and the motion passed with all in favor.
Commissioners also reviewed recent events from December and noted the commissions continuing focus on community programming. The minutes record that the Gingerbread House building and the Holiday Joy party had good attendance, which the commission cited in support of maintaining popular seasonal events.
The commission did not adopt new policies at the meeting; discussion of 2026 scheduling focused on confirming venues and formalizing motions to include the events on the commissions calendar.
The meeting adjourned after routine business.
