The Stratford Selectboard approved manifests for the March 24 and March 31, 2025 pay dates by a 3-0 vote and reviewed a series of routine documents and requests.
Minutes record that the board approved the manifests 3-0. The board also recorded signed documents including a junkyard letter, abatement forms, and applications related to town properties and use of town roads.
During public input, John McCarthy asked who may access Fire Department reserve funds and for what purposes; board members and the town administrator explained the process and allowable uses for those funds. McCarthy also brought printouts about a potential grant for the fire department; the board said it would forward the materials to the fire chief for review. McCarthy asked about AED use and training; the board and staff agreed arranging Red Cross training for town employees would be beneficial and that staff would pursue scheduling, noting Suzanne Goulet said she is up for renewal and will look into training arrangements.
Separately, staff reported the town has requested estimates for the library furnace and water heater from local businesses but has received no responses yet. The board also said the Hollow basketball court can likely be repaired by sealing an existing crack, with resealing in spring to address potential winter freeze-thaw reopening.
