The Little Big Forest Stewardship Committee approved the Dec. 17, 2025 meeting minutes after a brief review of the draft circulated in advance; the motion to approve was "made and passed by those present" but the mover and seconder were not recorded.
Jason Kovarik reported that two surveillance cameras have been installed in the Shedd Hill Road parking lot. He also said construction of a short fence along the south side of the parking area has been delayed until spring. Jason reported that the required LCHIP grant report has been completed and submitted, and suggested sharing elements of that report with donors and friends involved in the forest acquisition and conservation.
The committee recommended installing a second physical visitor notebook at the information kiosk next to the Shedd Hill Road parking area to complement a visitor log on the cabin porch and an existing online Google document used to record student experiences.
At the close of the meeting, Chair Bob Winterbottom thanked participants. Tim Rowehl moved to adjourn; Jason Kovarik seconded, the motion was approved by all, and the meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
