Selectman Steve Goldsmith told the selectmen on May 19 that he had spoken by phone with John Davis of the Conservation Committee regarding trees that were cut on Brown's property on Cider Mill Road.
Goldsmith said the Conservation Committee is concerned the property boundary may have been moved during site work and that the clearing may have extended into the Town Forest. The meeting record shows that Mike Edwards performed the cutting during site work and that concrete was poured on Brown's property that day.
The selectmen did not record a decision at the meeting but logged the concern for follow-up and for coordination with the Conservation Committee to determine whether the cutting extended onto town property.
