The Stratford Selectboard was told June 2 that Lynch, LLC will not renew its contract to perform the town's water and sewer operations. A representative said the company has too much other work but offered to train whomever the town hires to do the weekly processes.
The board said the water/sewer role will be full time and agreed to draft a job posting; the Selectboard plans to review the posting at its next meeting and begin interviews. The town thanked Erik and Mike Lynch for their work and their willingness to assist in a transition.
No timeline for when the contract ends or for when interviews will begin was recorded in the meeting minutes.
