Commissioners reported that Litchfield has established a town domain, which would allow unified user IDs for employees; they discussed migration tools, Microsoft Intune (mobile-device management), Azure/Entra ID for directory services, multi-factor authentication using Microsoft or Google authenticators, and the potential use of Copilot to assist profile migration. The commission agreed that once inventory is complete and a standard vendor list is adopted, vendors such as Yucatech may remove outdated equipment.
Dave Carroll will develop a Transform RFP to move workforce PCs into the town domain and Active Directory; after that effort, he will prepare a Managed Services RFP that should include Ubiquiti support, a standard PC build and load‑balancing/failover considerations. The commission also discussed using Snipe-IT to track inventory and to create a Work Order Process that distinguishes projects from break/fix work.
