The commission also reviewed a proposed site-level plan that designates dual internet for Level 1 sites (New Ambulance Facility, Public Works, Town Hall, Northfield Firehouse, Litchfield Fire Department, East Litchfield Fire Department, Bantam Fire Department) and single internet for Level 2 sites (Town Beach, Community Field, Bantam Annex). Staff were directed to develop a comprehensive connectivity inventory and to pursue fiber installations Frontier offered to install at no cost to certain facilities.
The commission assigned follow-up work orders and listed the goal of having all town facilities on fiber by the end of summer; specific project schedules and costs were not provided in the minutes.
