The Village of Hammond Planning Commission voted 4-2 on May 11 to recommend that the Village Board deny a conditional use permit for a proposed data center from The Metered North, LLC in the Industrial Park.
President Bibeau opened the meeting at 5:00 p.m. and the clerk recorded members present: President Bibeau, Howie Evans, Ray Gandy, Trustee Olson, Doug Hanson and Mike Kristoff; Trustee Curran was absent. After adopting the agenda, the commission took up The Metered North’s conditional use permit application.
Doug Hanson moved "to take a vote on whether to allow this or not," a motion seconded by Ray Gandy. The commission conducted a roll-call vote: Doug Hanson—Nay; Ray Gandy—Nay; Mike Kristoff—Nay; President Bibeau—Nay; Trustee Olson—Aye; Howie Evans—Aye.
