The Town of Thayne unanimously approved the conveyance of property to the North Lincoln County Hospital District on April 15, following a brief public hearing.
Mayor Simpson opened the hearing at 6:01 p.m. and Mike Hunsaker told the council the lessee had met all lease obligations dating to 2013, including all principal and interest payments; Hunsaker said the arrangement had retained four jobs and created 22. The hearing closed at 6:03 p.m.
Councilmember Lenny Pelletier moved to approve the conveyance pursuant to Wyoming Statute 15-1-112(b) and in accordance with the 2020 lease terms; Councilmember Joe Heward seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
Hunsaker said Wyoming Title and Escrow would handle the closing. The council did not request further conditions or amendments to the conveyance during the meeting.
The council’s formal approval implements the legal transfer discussed in the public hearing and begins the closing process with the title company.
