Surry selectmen approve appointments, several permit and solar applications and trial change to office hours

Selectman Ron Profaizer moved to appoint John Davis and Leslie Johnson to the Conservation Committee; Selectman Steve Goldsmith seconded and the selectmen agreed to the appointments. Selectman Jay Croteau subsequently moved to appoint John Berglund to the Zoning Board of Adjustment; Profaizer seconded and the board approved the appointment.

The selectmen also signed a letter to the state to enable Marie St Onge to process state work and attend required classes.
Selectman Ron Profaizer moved to transition the town’s current office-hours format to a more traditional schedule as a trial for April; Selectman Jay Croteau seconded and the selectmen agreed, noting the change was intended to provide a more public-friendly format. The selectmen also agreed to honor Linda Voldmeer on May 5, 2025, at 6:30 P.M. at the Surry Dam Beach.
