Sugar Hill Select Board approves May 5 minutes, appoints library alternate; signs bridge project certificates

The Sugar Hill Select Board met May 12, 2025, and approved the May 5 meeting minutes, a motion made by Select Board member Dick Bielefield and seconded by Rusty Talbot; the motion passed unanimously.
The meeting, attended by Select Board members Chris Ellms, Dick Bielefield and Rusty Talbot and Town Administrator Jennifer Gaudette, included routine administrative items and reports. Town Administrator Jennifer Gaudette said the Select Board office will be closed Thursday, May 15, while she attends the Primex conference.
Select Board member Chris Ellms signed a Right of Way Certificate and a Utility and Railroad Certificate for Local Public Agency Projects tied to the Crane Hill Bridge projects. The board recorded two building permits: a new home for Kristen Gray at 97 Cannon View Drive (Map 227 Lot 14) and a shed for Arthur Connors at 108 Nason Road (Map 223 Lot 10).
The board received U199 updates and the 2024 Sales Monitoring Review from the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration. The New Hampshire Department of Safety shared information about the NH 911 C.A.R.E.S. program; Gaudette said the town will include registration information in the next newsletter and on the town website.
On personnel and appointments, Select Board member Dick Bielefield moved to appoint Shepard Holcombe as an alternate to the Library Trustees; Rusty Talbot seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Ellms also noted that a cell tower application is expected to be filed in a couple of weeks. The board sent good wishes to Supervisor John Colony.
The meeting adjourned at 5:55 p.m.; the board scheduled its next regular meeting for Monday, May 19, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at the Crapo Building.
