Economic Development Director Rich Coppola read the director's report. Recent permit and site-plan items reported by staff included approval of a freestanding sign for Jimmy John's at 320 Main St.; approval for new construction of a liquor retail store at 626 Main St.; approval to change signage for Webster Bank at 262 Main St.; an administratively approved site-plan for Total Trim, LLC Barbershop at 42 Thompson St.; withdrawal of a proposed convenience store at 744 Foxon Rd.; and approval of a bottle-and-can redemption unit at 370 Hemingway Ave. within the Trolley Square parking lot.
Chairwoman Lorrie Maiorano previewed upcoming Chamber events, including a Business After Hours on Feb. 17 at the Sandpiper Restaurant and a small business development forum on Feb. 26. Commissioner Dave Gersz moved to adjourn; Commissioner John Tarducci seconded, and the meeting ended at 7:34 p.m.
