Staff found the proposal meets the city’s CUP review criteria and recommended approval subject to conditions.
Conditions listed by staff include obtaining a building permit; setting the structure at least 5 feet from rear/inside lot lines and out of easements; limiting the structure to no more than 400 square feet and 25 feet in height; prohibiting use as a dwelling unit or for commercial activity; and ensuring garage doors do not exceed 10 feet in height. No members of the public offered comment during the hearing. The commission moved and voted to recommend approval of the CUP; the recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council as the next step in the entitlement process.
