Sandra Benotti told the board she was concerned that the Select Board had advanced the warrant article without informing the Town Hall Advisory Committee. Ken Caisse said the main meeting room has an echo that makes it difficult to hear, especially for people with hearing aids, and that placing the panel question on the warrant would let residents decide. Tedd Petro objected, saying the town "has been fine for 250 years" and arguing that putting the matter on the warrant might imply formal town approval; Bill Ezell said the panels "would not be intrusive." Caisse said he would obtain a sample panel to show the advisory committee.
Board members reviewed CIP and non-CIP warrant-article recommendations as part of their agenda. No formal vote on the warrant-article language was recorded in the minutes; the board’s action was to advance the article to the warrant process so voters may decide at town meeting.
