The Village of Slinger Parks, Recreation & Forestry Board approved the minutes of its April 13, 2026 meeting on a motion by Dawn Smith, seconded by Jeff Behrend. Later, the board voted to adjourn at 6:49 p.m. on a motion by Jennie Stonehouse, seconded by Bob Stuettgen.
Other business at the May 11 meeting included a forestry report noting 36 trees were planted this spring (five fewer than planned), a recreation report with program and event highlights, the presentation of Draft No. 1 of the parks and open‑space plan, a dog park update noting a $5,000 donation for seeding and planned amenities, and a Breuer Park update on camera restoration following a lightning strike.
The board recorded condolences for the recent passing of longtime volunteer Rick Kohl and noted his memorial service on May 16. The next meeting was scheduled for Monday, June 7, 2026, subject to change.
