The Lompoc Planning Commission on July 8, 2026, approved a two-year time extension for tentative parcel map TE2026-0002 at 315 East Chestnut Avenue, extending the project’s approval to July 12, 2028. The motion carried on a 5–0 voice vote.
Connor, who identified himself during the staff presentation, told commissioners the original tentative map was approved on June 12, 2024. He said the proposal would merge existing nonconforming lots totaling approximately 0.69 acres and then subdivide the resulting parcel into two lots in an area zoned for light industrial uses. Connor said staff found the project exempt from further environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines section 15315 (minor land divisions) and recommended adoption of the resolution to grant the extension.
"Staff recommends to adopt resolution number 103626 approving a two-year time extension for TE2026-0002 subject to the attached draft conditions of approval," Connor said.
The chair moved to adopt the resolution; a committee member seconded. Commissioners Gonzales, Beverly, Bridge, Cox and Hurd were recorded present at roll call and voted yes on the motion. There were no public comments on the item.
