The nomination came from a board member (speaker 8), who said: “I’d like to make a motion that Beth Rodenborough be nominated for our vice chair.” The board then held a vote; the chair announced the result as five in favor and one opposed.
Board discussion leading up to the vote focused on restoring the vice-chair election to the January cycle so that one-year terms would align with the chair’s election. Several members noted the move would keep turnover predictable and allow annual elections for both posts in January.
