The Town Board of Little Falls voted Sept. 10 to approve a five‑year snow‑removal contract with the Herkimer County Department of Highways and authorized Supervisor Dan Casler to execute the agreement.
The motion to approve the contract was made by Supervisor Dan Casler and seconded by Councilman Anthony Viscomi; roll call votes were Casler Aye, Viscomi Aye and Councilman Mitch Soules Aye. The board’s action authorizes the town to rely on the county for snow‑removal services under the terms of the five‑year agreement.
Supervisor Dan Casler told the board the draft contract “includes a hold‑harmless clause as recommended by the town’s insurance company.” The board did not record objections or conditions on the contract during the meeting.
The vote follows the town’s routine review of service contracts ahead of the winter season. The board scheduled routine budget review and further agenda items for the next meeting.
