Dickinson Township approves 2025 pension MMO, awards propane contract and approves Peach Glen Road payment

The Dickinson Township Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Sept. 16 to approve the township'025 Minimum Municipal Obligation (MMO) for pensions and to complete several procurement and payment actions tied to township operations.
Vice Chairman Robert "Bob" Line moved and Supervisor Jen DeGaetano seconded the MMO approval for $54,340, which the board passed without recorded opposition. The board then awarded the propane contract for Oct. 18, 2024 ug. 17, 2025 to Koppy's Propane at $1.389 per gallon after the same motion pattern; that award also passed unanimously.
Public Works Director Glenn Kelso briefed the board on the Peach Glen Road project and recommended approval of Payment #2 to contractor New Enterprise Stone. "The contractor did a nice job, they were good to work with and the work was completed in a timely manner," Kelso said. The board approved Payment #2 in the amount of $578,317.26. Kelso told the board the project came in under bid and "an additional $130,000.00 under contract price." Resident Harold Cooney told the board the work "greatly improved the sight distance."
