Village of Hewitt approves $7,874.80 crack-filling contract with Jensen Chip & Seal Coating

Separately, the board decided to hold off on chip sealing 2nd Street at this time because drainage concerns and a failing shoulder — including a cross culvert identified for replacement — need an engineering review before proceeding. The decision preserves the approved crack-filling work on other designated streets while postponing larger surface work pending further assessment.
Also discussed during Old Business: the Yellowstone Park project proposal will be rewritten and released for sealed bids after the current quote was judged insufficient.
Outcome: Jensen Chip & Seal Coating was selected for crack filling for $7,874.80; timing for work and specific streets to be treated will follow once scheduling and any engineering considerations are resolved.
