The Jack Russell Memorial Library Board approved its unanimous consent agenda and adjourned Oct. 9 after routine business.
The consent agenda, approved on a motion by Mr. Allen Brown and seconded by Ms. Jennifer Novotny, included approval of the Sept. 11, 2024 meeting minutes; the September 2024 financial reports comparing budgeted versus actual figures; library bills for September 2024; the Jack Russell Memorial Library usage and services report; the Adult Services & Connections report; the Hartford History Room usage report; and the Youth Services monthly program report. The motion passed unanimously with board members Shari Purman, Craig Westfall, Jennifer Novotny, Jamie Wolman, Allen Brown, Maggie Yoder and Jeff Walters recorded as present and voting yes.
Following correspondence acknowledgements (several small donations and a book gift), Mr. Jeff Walters moved to adjourn at 5:35 p.m.; Mr. Allen Brown seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Why it matters: Approving routine minutes, financial reports and program metrics is part of the board’s fiduciary oversight and keeps official records current.
Next steps: The board noted the next regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. in the JRML Community Room.
