Paul and Anita Swainston of the Worm Creek Opera House told commissioners that the Franklin County Medical Center has offered $20,000 to donate to the county and has requested that the stage be named the "Franklin County Medical Center Stage" for a mutually agreed timeframe. Commissioners asked County Attorney Vic Pearson to review any agreement before signing; no final decision was recorded.
Mollie Beseris requested a letter of support for economic development and asked the county to add $500 to its contribution to Four County Alliance of Southeast Idaho (bringing the county total to $4,000) if funding is available. Commissioners approved sending a support letter and authorized the funding increase if funds allow; motion by Zan Bowles, second by Robert Swainston, vote unanimous.
The minutes record no contract or naming agreement signed at the meeting; the Opera House naming request will proceed only after legal review and any formal agreement is returned to the board.
