Franklin County maintenance reports progress on courthouse addition, Event Center work continues

County maintenance staff updated the Franklin County Commissioners on March 23 that the courthouse addition and other county building projects are advancing, with several systems nearing completion.
Randy Henrie, county maintenance, told commissioners that electrical and heating work is complete at the courthouse addition, while plumbing remains to be finished in the Prosecuting Attorney's Office. The fire sprinkler contractor was on site and the county expected that work to finish by the end of the week; insulation is scheduled for the following week. Henrie also reported a water‑supply fitting split and leak at the DMV that has been repaired and cleaned up.
At the Event Center, drains are being installed in the parking lot and foundations are in place for an addition; Henrie said he is awaiting the plumber to proceed. Henrie said he is gathering carpet bids for the Robinson Building and has asked an electrician for assistance designing in‑ground electrical boxes for a Green Space at the fairgrounds.
