The board approved a signed agreement reflecting a verbal arrangement with resident Dennis Hein to pay 25% of the cost of a lead service line replacement (motion Collins; second Stenklyft; carried). Trustee Mike Loose recused herself from discussion of a related matter and moved to the public seating area because of a perceived conflict of interest.
Separately, Mike and Anita Loose asked the board for reimbursement of 75% of the cost they incurred to replace a lead service line at 6 E. Main Street. Trustee Stenklyft argued that because the property had been sold, the purchase price likely returned that cost to the sellers and recommended denying reimbursement. The motion to deny the reimbursement (motion Stenklyft) received no second and was therefore denied; the minutes record the matter will return to the Water & Sewer Committee for further discussion.
