The Village of Hilbert Board voted Nov. 12 to approve Resolution 2024‑11 authorizing an application for a Vibrant Spaces Grant to support park bathroom improvements. Trustee Ken Stenklyft moved approval and the measure passed on a roll call vote with Trustees Roehrig, Loose, Collins, Pulley, Nolan and Stenklyft voting yes. Robert E. Lee & Associates will prepare the grant work for the village at no charge.
Finance staff told the board the grant award range is expected to fall between $25,000 and $50,000 if awarded. The proposal was presented as a way to fund park infrastructure without drawing on village fund balance.
Separately, staff outlined next steps for Village Meadows Phase 2, including a timeline to special-assess curb and gutter work for Thorn Creek Drive and Tanglewood Way. The board also renewed a listing contract for the three remaining lots in Village Meadows and discussed a pending lot sale expected to close at the end of November.
Trustees approved a one‑year rental extension for Schneider Farms to continue renting undeveloped acres for 2025 at $300 per acre, pending clerk review of deed language to confirm rental terms. The board voted to renew the listing contract for the three lots with agent Keith Krepline.
