Silver Creek Township appoints Andy Christensen to board; Helman and Geyen named officers

Chairman Helman abstained from that vote; the motion carried 3-0. Helman moved to appoint Geyen vice chairman; Supervisor Ryan Nelson seconded. Geyen abstained; that motion also carried 3-0.
The changes follow the board’s acceptance of Newman’s resignation earlier on the agenda. No additional appointments or changes to committee assignments were announced. The board scheduled a discussion of proposed projects and the 2025 budget for its Oct. 1 meeting.
