The Silver Creek Township Board approved multiple routine items and reviewed its finances at the Aug. 20, 2024 meeting.
Supervisor Ryan Nelson moved to approve the agenda and later moved to approve the list of claims; motions carried unanimously. The minutes list audited claims including: claim 18932 for $555.15; 18935 for $43,683.60; 18939 for $29.95; and 18947 for $3,182.00.
Clerk-Treasurer Alana Paumen reported fund balances as of the meeting: General Fund $147,469.20; Contingency $9,646.46; Road & Bridge $519,954.07; Fire Fund $58,281.86; ARPA Fund $13,772.51; Checking $24,687.10.
Board members discussed remaining ARPA funds and potential uses including a road project, an office computer, and a possible contribution to hall flooring; Supervisor Ryan Nelson will gather estimates for those items. The board also deferred action on a Wright County solid-waste code response to the Sept. 3 meeting.
The board authorized the maintenance department to spend up to $4,000 on a tack trailer after a motion by Vice Chairman Mike Helman and a second by Supervisor Brandon Geyen; the motion carried 4-0.
Several routine administrative motions—approval of the Aug. 6 minutes, the agenda and claims—were recorded as carried 4-0. The minutes do not include roll-call vote names for those motions; outcomes are recorded as "Carried 4-0."
