At its Sept. 8 meeting, the Steamboat Rock City Council approved the presented bills and payroll totals as part of routine business.
Councilmember Marc Havens moved to approve the bills presented for payment; Councilmember Travis Hollander seconded and the motion was approved. The bill register in the meeting materials lists a total of $13,555.64 (vendor register) and an additional total of $5,007.99 for utilities and other charges, for a combined listed outlay of $18,563.63 in those schedules. The employee gross-wages register for August lists total gross wages of $6,448.42.
Major vendors and line items shown in the register included JCJDW Investments LLC ($1,236.61), Blythe Sanitation ($2,152.00), USA BlueBook ($1,520.25), Alliant (various accounts totaling $1,042.70 and other charges), and QuickBooks/Intuit ($973.70). The registers were included in the meeting packet and incorporated into the motion recorded as approved by the council.
The meeting record does not show individual roll-call vote names for each bills-and-payroll approval motion beyond the mover/second and generic “motion approved” language. The council also approved the previous meeting minutes and reported hours during the same meeting by recorded motions.
The registers remain part of the official meeting record for the city.
