Franklin County commissioners unanimously authorized a $1.4 million grant agreement under the Idaho Airport Aid Program at their April 28 meeting.
Commissioner Zach Stewart updated the board on the funding breakdown: the Federal Aviation Administration will cover 90% of the project cost, the State will cover 2.5%, and Preston City and Franklin County will split the remaining 7.5% of the match. Stewart moved to sign the grant agreement; Commissioner Zan Bowles seconded the motion, and the vote was unanimous.
Commissioners did not attach additional conditions to the agreement during the meeting. The approval authorizes county staff to execute the grant documents and proceed with the work financed by the program.
